Cause 1: Issues with the suction nozzle, such as deformation, blockage, or damage, can lead to insufficient air pressure and air leakage. This results in failure to properly suction materials, improper material collection, and failure to identify materials, causing PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) to be discarded.
Countermeasures: Clean and replace the suction nozzle as needed.
Cause 2: A faulty feeder, incorrect feeder settings, position deformation, or poor feeding mechanism can prevent proper material pickup or cause PCBA to be discarded due to ineffective picking.
Countermeasures: Reset the packer, clean the equipment, and calibrate or replace the packer if necessary.
Cause 3: Problems with the identification system can arise from poor vision, dirty or obstructed lenses, interference from foreign objects, incorrect selection of the identification light source, or insufficient intensity and gray scale. The identification system may also be malfunctioning.
Countermeasures: Clean the identification system surfaces, keep them clear of foreign objects and oil, adjust the light source intensity and gray level, and replace any damaged identification system components.
Cause 4: Positioning issues, such as position deviation and the suction nozzle not being centered over the material during suction and reclaiming, can lead to incorrect pickup and material rejection. The reclaiming height must generally allow for a 0.05mm depression after contacting the parts.
Countermeasures: Adjust the reclaiming position and height parameters.

Cause 6: Problems with the placement machine program may arise if the component parameters are incorrectly set or not aligned with the physical dimensions, brightness, and other characteristics of the incoming materials, resulting in identification failures.
Countermeasures: Modify the component parameters and identify the optimal settings for the components.
Cause 7: Nonconforming products can result from issues with incoming materials, such as non-standard specifications or oxidation of pins.
Countermeasures: The Incoming Quality Control (IQC) team should conduct inspections of incoming materials and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
Cause 8: Issues with the feeder, including deformation, poor feeding, damaged parts, or foreign objects can lead to PCBA rejection and feeder damage. Static electricity can also be a contributing factor, so grounding the placement machine and implementing anti-static measures at the production site is crucial.
Countermeasures: Correct any feeder issues, clean the feeder platform, and replace any damaged parts as necessary.
While it is normal for the placement machine to experience some PCBA rejection, a high rate of such incidents can significantly affect production efficiency and costs. If there is a serious issue with PCBA rejection, consult on-site personnel and analyze the causes mentioned above to effectively identify and resolve the problem without significantly disrupting production time.
