The process of SMT placement machine is divided into various stages, such as start-up inspection, initial inspection, start-up, production, shutdown, and more.
Below are the steps to follow for the SMT production stage:
1. Select the substrate plan and prepare for production:
- On the production design operation page, click the select button and enter the PCB substrate selection window.
- Click the select button to complete the substrate selection operation.
- The machine reads the board data, returns to the main interface, and verifies the set parameters with the engineering data.
2. Adjust the guide rail for the PCB substrate to enter the distribution frame at the set speed:
- On the main interface, click the device transmission width button of the device transmission system to enter the information transmission width management interface.
- After changing the transmission width, use it as the input substrate width of different sizes.
- Click the "OK" button to adjust the width of the design guide rail continuously.
- Then gently push the substrate to confirm that the PCB circuit board has a minimal gap of about 1mm on the transmission track.
3. Inspect the materials produced by SMT:
- Click the production design button on the main interface.
- Click the (feeder list) button in the lower-left corner.
- Move the scroll bar to see the position of the material in the feeder list window.
- Install the feeder in the fixed location according to the engineering data position to ensure smooth inhalation of materials.

Please find below the revised installation steps for the SMT production feeder:
1. Press the emergency stop button and open the cover.
Installing the feeder while the SMT placement machine is still functioning is hazardous and should be avoided.
2. Clean the feeding rack of any dust or debris.
If parts or dust get stuck in the feeder, it may cause the feeder to tilt, resulting in unstable adsorption.
3. Install the feeder.
Align the handle of the elevator feeder with the installation position of the feeder and insert the upper sliding rail into the positioning hole at the same time.
4. Double-check the paper feeder to ensure that the cover tape is not loose and that the information is correctly inserted in place.
SMT technicians must be trained on these precautions before starting production. The above steps serve as a review of the placement machine's safety measures during the production stage.
