A growing number of manufacturers are outsourcing their PCBA business to specialized processing units as the electronics manufacturing sector develops. However, consumers may find it difficult to adequately assess processing factories given the abundance of them that advertise themselves as offering superior services. Whether their production method complies with industry standards is an important factor to take into account.
SMT assembly and through-hole assembly are two crucial procedures that are frequently involved in a PCBA project. By carefully attaching parts to the empty circuit board, these procedures hope to enable the required functionality. KSPCBA concentrates on offering thorough insights into the through-hole assembly process in this article. Customers can choose manufacturers with more knowledge and comprehend the PCBA workflow as a whole by being aware of this procedure.
The equipment requirements for the positioning holes design are as follows:
While in the PCB design the engineer will reserve positioning holes for printers and placement machines using. Different devices may have different requirements about positioning holes. Generally, a pair of positioning holes are required at both edges of the PCB, and the aperture is 4 mm, which are separatly in the left corner and the right corner. The center position of the positioning holes should be 5mm.
For PCBs assembly with SMT & DIP, it is necessary to consider to add a hole which can be adjusted. The hole diameter is 4 mm × 5 mm and it cannot be metallized. For products that need to be tested by In-circuit or FCT equipment, there must also be a pair of positioning holes on the opposite corner of the PCB. The hole diameter and hole spacing requirements must be determined according to the test equipment.
